Introducing Natto

Lately I am so into food. ahh so greedy. om nom nom. I wanna eat the world :D haha oh dear! So, I watched a few food programmes related to Japan and began searching for some info on Japanese food, concluding that I am drawn to one particular thing: Japanese Traditional Breakfast.

We all know that Japanese food is all about sushi. Yet, its not everything about Japanese food!

Well, there is a secret ingredient to a traditional Japanese Breakfast, its called Natto.

This is Natto: fermented soybeans

Well, their traditional breakfast is This, and plain white rice!

It is further spiced up with yellow mustard, soy sauce! (Optional: seaweed and egg)
This is served with miso soup, grilled/salted fish and preserved cabbage on a tray.

There are feedbacks that say this is even more smelly than smelly tofu. But if it is served with rice, some mustard and soy sauce, it tastes differently. I have also read up that natto in Hokkaido is bigger and not that smellier. They are sold in small packs at most Asian stores! I am going to try this in Reading! :D

Hereby is a link, at [28.15] there is a Oh My God. looks just amazing Champion Napoleta Pizza worth RM14 (140NT$) in Japan. The chef prepared it in 15s and baked it in 90s. :) I wanna go there for that awesome pizza!
