Rain from a Malaysian perspective

The air smelled different- it is the smell of moist hot air only to be found in a tropical country. Soon, the smell followed by a pleasant music to the ears - pouring rain. Even the deaf and the blind would know by now that the anticipated rain has arrived and the hazy condition should be gone soon after this.

After almost a week , it finally rained.
If you believe there is a mighty power exist above, like god, it/he/she had answered prayers to many and I do think that almost everyone had longed for the rain to come to drive out the haze.

It came unexpectedly as if also to rejoice the reunion of me and my family or to celebrate raya or to accompany me to sleep.
Yet, its arrival may also be to wash away the sorrows of the flight crashes happened over the month.
Then, there goes the swish of the puddles of rain when each car passes by. It reminds me of the sleepless nights when I was young, the times I waited for the bus by the bus stop on a rainy day.

A rain can intrigue many thoughts.
